Crab and Shrimp Dip Recipe

Hey Glow Getters! When it comes to my favorite foods, all things crabs is definitely in my top 5! This week, I posted on Instagram a sneak peek of the dip I whipped up. Well, many of you have asked for the recipe, so I'm sharing today! I can't take all the credit though, as I adopted the recipe from my good friend Tracy, and it's now one of my favorite things to make. Give it a try, and let me know how you like it!

crab and shrimp dip

INGREDIENTS:

1 pound lump crab meat

1 bag of small peeled, deveined shrimp

1 — 8 ounce container cream cheese

1 — 16 ounce bag of shredded parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons of sour cream

1 tablespoon real mayonnaise

Old Bay seasoning to taste

1/2 stick of butter

Garlic french bread or Stacy’s plain bagel chips

CRAB AND SHRIMP DIP RECIPE:

  1. Preheat your over to 400 degrees

  2. Pour the bag of shrimp into a frying pan. Do not add any seasoning yet because the water from the ice on the shrimp will dilute your flavor. Cook until all the ice is melted over medium high heat. Drain all the water out the pan.

  3. Keep the burner on and add the butter and old bay to the shrimp pan (season to your taste)

  4. Drain any liquid out of your crab meat container. Empty the drained crab meat into the hot pan with the shrimp. Sprinkle a little old bay onto the crab meat. Mix shrimp and crab seasoned butter mixture very well. Make sure it’s hot throughout and well blended.

  5. Transfer your shrimp/crabmeat mixture into a separate bowl and set aside.

  6. In the same pan (do not rinse), place your cream cheese, sour cream, and mayo into the pan. Stir it continuously until very well blended and you see little bubbles once well blended.

  7. Add in about 75% of the bag of Parmesan cheese. Continuously stir the cheese mixture until fully blended.

  8. Once the entire cheese mixture is fully blended and slightly bubbling, pour your shrimp/crab mixture into the cheese pan (keep the pan on) and keep stirring until well blended.

  9. Remove from heat and transfer into your non-stick pan.

  10. Sprinkle the top with old bay seasoning and place into the oven uncovered for about 30 minutes.

  11. it is ready when it starts been bubbling in the oven and is golden on top.

  12. Enjoy it with garlic french bread or Stacy’s plain bagel chips.
