The heart of my mission with the Shalyce Tyson brand is to create spaces where glow getters feel seen, motivated and celebrated as they live their lives and pursue their dreams. Buy Black, Black Friday truly embodies that mission. What is Buy Black, Black Friday you say? Well, for those who missed it the past 2 years, it’s an epic Instagram Live showcase dedicated to black woman owned businesses, who we should support during and beyond the holidays. It was an honor to highlight over 60 businesses and counting, many of which I’ve purchased from or worked with in the past. Thanks to the live viewers and replay viewers, this event annually helps to expand the reach and sales of the participating businesses, and in turn exposes the viewers to amazing black businesses, products and services.

The event was such a success in 2020 and 2021 that I’ve decided to make it an annual event. The 2022 Buy Black, Black Friday showcase will be held on Friday, November 25th, so save the date now. Each business will be featured in 5 minute increments, which makes this a fun and fast, yet worthwhile experience for participants and those tuning in. Submissions are open now below.
